Agra News: Women advocates met Justice Banerjee, Administrative Judge of Allahabad High Court, submitted a memorandum Agra 15 November. Many women advocates, led by Advocate Saroj Yadav, candidate for the post of member of Bar Council of UP, met the Administrative Judge of High Court Allahabad, who came on a visit to the District and Sessions Court premises, Agra, and gave him a memorandum addressed to the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.
In which the problems prevailing in the Agra court as well as the recent incidents of theft in the lawyers' chambers in Etmadpur tehsil were cited. Along with this, action was demanded on the lathi charge done by the District Judge on the lawyers in the Ghaziabad court room.
During the meeting with the administrative judge, Advocate Saroj Yadav, citing the memorandum given to the then Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, who came on a visit to Agra on 17.9.2022, said that apart from pink toilets and the supply of Gangajal, the remaining problems remain the same.
Referring to the previous memorandum, he presented the worsening conditions of the court premises due to the prevailing corruption and said that this is harming the justice system and since the Ghaziabad incident also happened due to the arbitrary, dogmatic, Hitlerish and arbitrary insulting and indecent behavior of the judicial officer towards the lawyer community.
Action needs to be taken on this and with regard to Agra, special monitoring and appropriate action needs to be taken on this matter and judges with indecent behavior, even if they are district judges, need to be transferred immediately, otherwise an incident like Ghaziabad can happen in Agra anytime.
Advocate Saroj Yadav said that through our memorandum, we have demanded that 360 degree CCTV cameras and visits to the court should be done in a surprise, confidential and pseudo plaintiff manner to curb the arbitrariness being done by all the judicial officers, not sitting in the court on time for judicial work and indecent behavior with the lawyers and the corruption being done openly by the clerks.
So that the environment of correctness, transparency and honesty required for the dignity of the justice system can be promoted. He also strongly condemned the house arrest of all the lawyers including senior advocate Mehtab Singh of the Sessions Court Agra before the visit of the administrative judge.
He said that the lawyers were put under house arrest so that the truth does not come out. Due to this, all the lawyers were deprived of doing the essential work for their clients.
While on the other hand, the concept of cheap, accessible and speedy justice is cited in the judicial system.
